Registering you pets

How do you register you pets if they are full blooded

Answer #1

Ditto to what both parties said.

Answer #2

Some info: When you buy a dog represented as AKC registrable, you should receive an AKC Dog Registration Application form properly filled out by the seller. When you complete your portion and submit it with the proper fee, this form will enable you to register the dog. When the application has been processed, you will receive an AKC Registration Certificate. http://www.akc.org/reg/index.cfm?nav_area=registration

Answer #3

You should have gotten application for registry with the pup when you took him home…if you didn’t than you better call the breeder. If the parents aren’t registered, then the pups cannot be registered.

AKC has an alternative registery for dogs who LOOK like a purebred, but there isn’t any paperwork to back it up…you could use this if no papers can be found for your dog. It requires that your dog be neutered or spayed, but it does allow you to show in AKC sponsered agility, obedience, etc.
