Why are they rebuilding the twin towers back up to the same height as before, instead of reducing how tall they are?

They are not rebuilding the twin towers. They are building a memorial. Is not a building for people to live and work but to look at.

I have wondered this too! And I am not exactly sure why. You would think that they would make them shorter so they weren’t such a target for bombers. But maybe they are trying to portray things as they were? Not exactly sure on this one…

Oh, so no one will be working inside the buildings? I thought they were re building them, and we’re going to go back working in the buildings.

no they are not rebuilding the twin towers. They are building taller buildings. America will not be defeated and we will rebuild. Yes there are memorials where the twin towers used to be. They turned the foundation into waterfalls. But around ground zero NYC is building they are rebuilding another World Trade Center. They are not making two buildings but 4 very tall buildings. The biggest tower, code named Tower 1, will rise 1776 feet and it will be called the Freedom Tower. See the significance in that number? It will be taller than the previous twin towers and will be the tallest building in NYC beating the empire state building. As for why, its because when America gets pushed down, we get back up. Stronger than ever.
