What should I do if my mom is bringing a new dog to our house and im scared of it?
Okay...here's some advice...it may sound silly..but just try it..
If you are seriously afraid of your mother's dog, ask your mother to do a sort of meeting. This meeting should include no one else but you, your mother and the dog. Have your mom and the dog sit across the room from you until you feel comfortable. Make it as fun as possible for the dog. Have toys or small treats or chew toys. Whatever that dog likes. As soon as you are comfortable, have them move closer. continue this ( it may take a few days) until you are no longer uncomfortable with having the dog near or even petting the dog. You giving the dog treats as well will reinforce feelings from the dog.
You can also try helping your mom train the dog or go on walks with her.
listen I have three dogs they are loving and kind just as much as a gold fish. you might be scared at first but you just got to get to know them:)
I personally would tell my mom that I don't like dogs..lol or ask your mom to buy a cage for it or something :)
