most of it yes. you do have some bands out there like green day. but their not really punk any more. all other bands are just posers
a genre of music can’t die, because a lot of people listen to punk music and are still in punk bands… i think it depends on people’s opinions, really. new bands don’t have the classic style that the original punk bands did. plus it’s now just another commercial genre that the record companies market. the 70’s & 80’s was when punk was really popular and, yeah… i think 80’s was the sh*t (wish i lived back then but sadly i never did)… i don’t know if it’s really considered “dead” thoughh
