Random passing out..help

Yesterday my mom was at a store with my dad, She starting getting really cold, She passed out, and my dad caught her, She woke up in the store bathroom throwing up, The store owner asked if he should call an ambulence, She said no because she hates hospitals.. My dad took her home and she’s been on the couch ever since.. Fever was: 103.2 She’ll eat sometimes, and she hasnt thrown up, but now she has a fever of 102.2 that won’t go away.. I tell her to go to the Doc, but she wont go. IM SO WORRIED. nothing like this has ever happened to her. she’s never passed out, or anything. any idea what’s going on with my mom? thanks..

Answer #1

She’s obviously sick. Probably the flu.

It’s typical for her to have a fever, but it’s not necessary to see the doctor unless it goes above 104.

As long as she’s drinking lots of fluids and getting rest, she should be ok, but keep an eye out for any more severe symptoms.

Answer #2

tell her how worried you are. tell her to do it for the sake of her child. and even if she hates hospitals, this sounds like it may be serious. why won’t your dad take her to a hospital???

Answer #3

My sister had a friend back in the day who always passed out… because she never ate. She always had a fever because of this too.

  • Does your mom seem unhappy about her weight? Even if she’s really skinny?
  • Does she eat enough?
  • is she happy with herself?

Think of these things, and if you said yes, no, and no, then she has a problem and you need to talk to her and a doctor soon.

Well said. It sounds like the flu to me as well. Make sure she drinks lots of fluids like ichibanarky said. Id say gatorade. Throwing up dehydrates you and water doesn’t always cut it when you have a high fever. If she doesn’t start to feel better in a day or so try again to get her to a docter. keep her comforatable and see that she eats at least once a day. good luck hope shes alright.

Answer #5

then, like I said, tell her how worried you are.
