Do rabbits thump when they're angry, or is there another reason?

I was wondering because one of my boyfriend’s sister’s rabbits was thumping his foot I think because he was irritated and wanted out of his cage… Does anyone know why they thump?

Answer #1

I dont know about Rabbits…but…my Cat thumps her tale down with a hard thud repeatedly when she is looking at birds through the window.

Answer #2

Im pretty sure, atleast from experience, that its like a territorial thing.

Whenever any of our other animals would go near her, shed thump and theyd back off. Also whenever we go around her when shes in a bad mood she thumps too. Sometimes she kinda does this purr thing to but i dont know if thats relevant or not

Answer #3

I think they like to thump just to thump..
