question about the inplant

ok I have asked a question a lot like this before and some one gave me the answer that the inplant doesnt protect against infections and other bad things. I respect that yeh the person was just trying to help me be safe, but im not silly I may not be the most mature person in the world buti am mature enough to get myself and the only person I plan on having sex with checked for stuff like that. but anyway my question is we both know we dont have anything nasty so me and my boyfriend decided I would get the inplant and after that we havnt used condoms. I know it is pretty affective but the fact I have had only one period in three months is kinda worrying me! so cud someone please tell me how affective the inplant is and if they think I cud be pregnant! also bit of info when I had the one period we had condomless sex!

a friend of mine gets the implant/shot and doesnt get her period the whole time. but everyone is different because another lady I know, bled for almost 2 months on the shot.

mostly though I hear it is common not to get your period while on the shot.
