Im not entirely sure what your asking so im going to guess. Your talking about nose piecing? When you put in a nose ring [stud] you first insert the jewellery part into your nose piercing, and then use put the other part into the hook up your nostril. You should be able to find it, it will be sticking out enough for you to hook the two parts together.
I think you mean the little spike? Well, you skrew the spike part off, slip the ring through your piercing, and then skrew it back on.
