My Puppy just got fixed but my mom refuses to put the cone on him. He has been really good about licking himself so far today but he wants to curl up in a place that is hard for me to keep an eye on him.
If the vet gave u a cone for him to wear then he should wear it. A dog going to the vet it's the same as u going to the doctor all instructions from the vet/doctor should be followed.
I'm sure having the cone on him for a while is a far better option than to risk him messing with his wound.
Put it on because when it starts itching he will have the stitches torn out and everything else.
I would put the cone on him
