how do I know if my property lot is close to an acre?

It is 100’ by 254’ by 78.6’ by 301’?

Answer #1

You have 4 dimensions there…acreage is based on length x width. 100’ x 254’ = 25,400’ and 78.6’ x 301’ = 23,658.6’. Is this a front + back yard? Because that’s not how the measurement works…you need to include the total length and total width of the property to get an accurate acreage.

Answer #2

It does look like you are referring to two separate chunks of land, but an acre is 43,560 square feet according to Wikipedia. http://funadvice.com/r/3l0586e3oc

Answer #3

Answer #4

Oh. Thats not how I meant it. Sry meant to put it as and answer to the original question not a comment to yours sry.

Answer #5

No worry…I think in the end, we’re both still baffled at what she’s looking for, lol

Answer #6

It looks like you have a trapezoidal shape piece of property, if this is correct then your total square footage is approximately 24,780.75 square feet , which means you have about .57 acre or a little over a half acre of land.
