I dont think anyone can give an exact opinion on that one... to one person Intel is the only way to go...and to another AMD is the only way to go... I guess you have to really think about what you need it for...and then find out if your paying for the name or the quality of your processor.
I personally always went with Intel, and dropped them for AMD like a hot potato I just prefer AMD over Intel now for both the quality & price...but again tht is just my personal opinion based on my years of experience with AMD.
Try looking it up in Google, I am sure they have a lot of great sites for comparing the 2 & then you get to make the final decision.

So like I AM A KID but I am verry smart in this kinda stuff but try to keep in mind the terms you use thx.
So iight heres the deal I heard the i series processor was the best but i recently went on the alinware site and they said that it was a duo core extreme.
Im getting an i7-860 and I want to know if its the best or not.
Also Im getting a GT 230 1.5 GIG video card with a 1TB harddrive and a Lightscrib CD/DVD label burner. its an HP let me know what you think.
