Why are we printing more and more money causing inflation, and deflating the value of the dollar?

Answer #1

Because the government is stupid.

Answer #2

Because the USA is no longer the most powerful economy in the world.

Answer #3

Can I get a source from where you pulled this from, pretty please? :)

Answer #4

the reason why we are printing more and more money is because of how much the government is putting into the economy. since we do not go off the gold reserve, in order to have enough money in the economy (because of the bailouts) more money has to put into the system. so we need to print more money. and the more money there is in the system causes inflation and decreases the value. its going to take almost 20-50 years at least to correct our economy and its not going to be fixed in a day. people don’t realize how bad of a situation we are in right now. its scary to think about it, but we are going to be screwed for many years to come.

Answer #5

Yeah no, printing paper is not going to get anyone anywhere, matter a fact, printing paper is actually costing money. We don’t just magically make money out of nowhere, we have to borrow money from other countries to fill in the deficit, this is what they argue about all day, the government spends more than what they have, problem. What do they do? Check to see how much they are making, if they’re not making enough, taxes go up, or we borrow money. It’s not that complicated. It’s a no brainer, it’s either you cut a couple of services, raises taxes, or you borrow money. Since Americans are hypocritical about what they want, best choice: borrow money.

Answer #7

The more you print, the less it is worth, and since the dollar has nothing but debt to back it, it ain’t worth that much at all.

Answer #9

It doesnt make a difference whether or not we’r printing money, borrowing money, whatever it is that we’r doing. we as America owe more than billions, i repeat billions, even more than that. the billions mostly to China, who practically own us since a lot of things we have are from it, idk where the rest goes to. even if you do put in the system, that would take years, decades, and as for printing the money out that would just be an overall nightmare. so where we stand with money right now is pathetic, the fact that China could take us down in one day because of it is just sad.

Answer #10

:) americas debt is getting higher and higher, another thing to add with america becoming a hellhole. lol

Answer #11

As if this was something to be smiling about. I’d like to see you take that smile to the millions of people in America that are gonna be facing homelessness in a few years.

Answer #12

Well a lot of this is due to North Americans over spending and over extending themselves, and also if you see the dollar value go down, this makes countries more apt to trade with us because goods and services will be cheaper. Also I do not know about NY but TX has not been effect as much it seems as other places I have read about, also Obama extending unemployment benefits only seems to hurt small business, it seems people would rather ride unemployment than get a job.
