My husband and I are trying to have a baby. On the 18th of Feb I was really wet, I noticed a really egg white discharge, so I assumed that I must be ovulating. We made love that night, but the next morning I was dry. For the last few days, I've been dry, with a thick white discharge. I'm concerned, it doesn't have an odor, I've read that when a woman is pregnant, her dischage changes. I have no idea, I just got married on the 14th of Feb, and this would be our first child, and I'm really nervous!!! So what do you think???
It usually takes up to 3 to 6 weeks after conception to start noticing any symptoms of pregnancy. So, if you had sex on the 18th and today is the 26th, that is only 8 days and there is no way you would be showing symptoms yet. If you did concieve, then there I a possibility you may have some bleeding when the fertilized egg implants itself into the cervical wall---usually about 2weeks after conception. So that would be about next Wed? But not all women have bleeding with implantation so if you don't see it don't let it get you down, just wait another week and 1/2 to 2 weeks for your period. And like Mandyloo said wait 3 to 4 days to make sure, actually a week would be better that puts you about 3 weeks post conceptiom and a greater chance of enough Hcg(chemical in the body that shows positive for pregnancy) being in the body. And make sure you use your 1st mornings urine.,where the Hcg has had a chance to really build up overnight. Good luck to ya"!
Yes the discharge for Ovulation is clear and sticky, for a medical example:Take a pinch of your discharge..yes it requires you to reach inside of yourself...after you feel your dischare hold it together with two finger and try to stretch it,if it does not stretch a good ways then your not ovulating.Hope this helped aid in your quest for pregnancy dear :)
First off,
When you ovulate - your discharge is clear and sticky, not white. It's really too soon to tell if you are pregnant or not. All you can do is wait for your period, and if it's late take a pregnancy test. It takes 3-4 weeks before an at home pregnant test will give you accurate results so you still have a while to go.
Oh, alright then. Yes, you were most likely ovulating. You still have to wait a while before you can take an at home test though. Either wait unti your period is due or wait another 1-2 weeks before you take one.
TINA, I don't even know you, and I can tell that you are VERY ANAL!!! If you can't help then don't leave a comment!!! Move along to next question!!! Thanks a bunch!!!
okay come on now do we look psychic? I mean really... the only way to know if your pregnant is by going to see your doctor. we can't really tell you more than that.
I used the term egg whites to descirbe, because they are clear and skicky. I apoligize if the question is too detailed, I'm not trying to affend anyone.
It all depends on when you had your period. usually its 2 wks before and 2 wks after your period that you ovulate, but it can vary for each woman.
