Last year I've got an Oral Surgery on my teeth to push back my overbite. After 6 weeks when I fully healed and had my mouth unwired I had to take pictures to see the inside of my mouth. So, I have just went to the dentist this past Thursday and when I looked closer at it I see that I have some stainless steel things in my chin and on each side of my nose area at the top of my mouth. I have to be extra careful with my chin because it tends to hurt once in a while I can't sleep on it nor hit it by accident and I stay away from fights. Do anyone here have any clue what this could be and why?
So, your saying, when they take xrays you can see these? Its probably hardware they had to use after moving the mandible to prepare for braces. The hardware could be left there to keep everything in place so it won't move.
Without being able to see what you are talking about I can't really say what it could be. Next time you see the orthodontist, ask them what they actually did and what you are seeing. They should be able to tell you, otherwise you could talk to the maxillofacial surgeon who did your surgery. (=
yes well I can see it from the inside when they take transparent photos of my teeth. Right now I'm wearing braces so the only thing that is visible is the metals in the mouuth, the structure of the mouth and teeth.
Are you saying you are seeing these things inside of the mouth, between the lip and the gum both upper and lower?
I have no clue, but I think your dentist would be a lot of help??
