Positives: Free general health care, good schools, Algonquin park, mountains, beaches, 4 seasons (Some people would call that a negative, but I like getting all 4 seasons, even winter), nice people, lots to do, huge forests, the most fresh water in the world, lots of space per person, moderately low crime rate, fairly tough gun laws, government assistance when needed,
Negatives: The weather can sometimes be a bit much (though we don't have much for hurricanes, earthquakes or stuff like that, just snow storms and the occassional tornado), long travel times between cities (Due to how big Canada is) , at time our Government, fairly high taxes, cost of living, the seal hunt, free trade aggreements, Canada could do better environmentally,
I love Canada and would not even consider living elsewhere. Its a great country. We have some problems, but I think every country does.
Some of the positives are free general health care, decent schools, beautiful scenery and tourist locations.. I think we're all generally pretty decent people to be around, too. We're quite easy going and accepting.
When it comes to negatives, at times we have really crappy weather. Some days we have lots of snow, cold temperatures, or days of rain. We've had a few tornadoes, but most locations hardly see them. Another negative is that sometimes it can be difficult for people to receive help. In some cases there are people who abuse the system, so sometimes people who genuinely need help get overlooked. This seems to be a problem that exists anywhere, though..
As a Canadian, I have to say that I quite love it here.
positive: My older cousin lives there and she's amazing :D negative: Cold weather :/
