What are some of the most popular songs starting from the 60's up to now?

So I'm making a video for school about music. There's a part where I talk about different music from each decade. I want the music in the background to reflect that decade, to be recognizable to my audience if possible, the class is 7th-8th), and to be somewhat upbeat I guess. Here are my ideas so far: 60s: A song by The Beatles (one of their earlier ones). I have no idea which one though. What would you say are their most popular songs? Or should I use something completely different? 70s: I have no idea for this one yet. Suggestions? 80s: Don't Stop Believing by Journey? (maybe) I think this might work because everyone knows and likes it. 90s: No idea. 2000s: No idea. 2010s: Maybe Ke$ha/Rhianna/Lady Gaga/Nicki Minaj? I'm not really sure. I'd like to use Love Like Woe by the Ready Set (it shows how music is more electronic now and I just love that song!) but I don't think many people know it. What do you think? Oh and this kinda goes without saying, but I have to use clean songs. This is a school project. Oh and I'm already using the intro and chorus of Remember the Name by Fort Minor.

Please help!
