How to get my learning permit back from my Mom?

My mom took my lisence from me a couple months ago because I told her I’d prefer to practise driving with my step dad because he’s more calm about it which helps me concentrate. Because she’s very soft hearted she took this very offensively and took my lisence and told me she cancelled it and that I’d have to wait till I’m 18 to start over again. So I waited a while and tried talking to her about it a couple weeks later and she just got even more mad and told me the real reason why she took it was cause I was apparently drinking and driving (which is bull cause I never drink in the first place). So then, I went and talked to my dad about it and about a week ago he told me she never actually cancelled my lisence she’s just keeping it from me. So, in January I’m supposed to be taking my driving test, but I need the practice. Should I tell her I know that she never cancelled it and try and talk to her about getting it back, or, sould I just wait it out? Please help :)

HI I was just wondering what gave her the impression that you had been drinking? Has there been a problem? As long as your not drinking I can’t see any reason why your mother will not discuss this with you, the way you have explained the situtaion is that you approached her to dicuss the matter again and she became even more upset about the driving with you step dad.

Im not sure if going behind her back is good , if she finds out then your in even more trouble. And then you won’t be driving at all. What the age for driving where you are?

Are or do you have any friends parents that would be willing to speak to you or maybe a pastor at your local church? Let me know about any more developements, if you are drinking then you may want to talk to someone cause it can get out of hand when you start young even without you realising it. Peer pressure and your friend should be picked carefully in this time in your life , it’s how mine got off track and it took me years to realise it.

Im not accusing you of anything and you sound as if you have a great head on your sholders, so don’t be offended please… Drinking can turn into more then more without you knowing it’s getting out of hand. I do not even know if you are , And if not this I believe is still good advise for others to see. Have you asked you mother what is is about the whole thing that has her so anoyed? And if her feelings were hurt then she may need someone to talk to like a pastor or church elder or a parent helper message board I send you the link to one that I and many others I know use.

Why not apply for a replacement (lost) - still in the system, it shouldn’t be a problem - make sure you don’t drink and drive…Take care !!
