please answer spider bite!

hi my daughter is one year old and she got bit about 2 weeks ago and it got puffed up and hard and dry. then that went away on its own after about 3 days. then 2 days ago she got bit again on her arm. it was just a little bite that looked like an ant bite. and today I noticed that it has a huge red ring around it. it looks like a bullseye. but the red ring around it if puffed up like made up of red bumps. what is it. should I take her to the ER. what could it be. I called the ER and they said to get cortizone creme and see what I looks like in the morning. I dont know what to do I am really worried any advice please.

Take her now! You can never be too safe. I think brown recluse or black widows leave a ring around the bite.

Spider bites normally resemble bulls eyes. Most likely that’s what it is. If the cortizone cream doesn’t work then take her to the doctor in the morning. Keep an eye on her tonight to make sure that her breathing is ok. If her arm starts to swell up then take her right away. If she gets a fever take her right away. She is most likely allergic to the type of spider that bit her but allergic reactions vary from person to person.

Do not worry about what the staff at the ER will say when you get there…it’s your daughter and if you feel like something is wrong with her then it’s your right to take her. Remember, a mother’s first obligation is to ALWAYS protect their children.
