Platinum or not?

I have blonde on the top and black on the bottom right now and the blonde has gone brass and the black has a red tint to it. my hair is so damaged that it sometimes breaks off. how can I go platinum without my hair falling out or feeling terrible. is ther any treatment that can help and/or fix it? I really dont care about prices just as long as my hair is fine?! Thanks.

Go get it done professionally. If you’re hair is in such a bad condition you shouldn’t do it yourself. Also try using some hair masks and hot oil treatments to help improve the condition of your hair.

To be honest, you should walk in to a hair stylist place and let them tell you what you need to do to make your hair all healthy-like. Just let them tell you their own tips and advice. Wouldn’t hurt or cost you anything.

Condition the crap out of it before you go platinum…and while your blonde lol. ( Before you go in the shower, put conditioner on your dry hair, and put a shower cap to cover your hair for an hour ). I’m blonde, and everytime I go somewhere professional, they always tell me I have healthy hair.( and I re-do my highlights every month my self..it doesn’t look like crap since I condition well)

If your hair is already breaking you might not want to touch your hair w/ platinum. Your hair would probably have to be cut very short if you do. I’m blonde as well and have been doing my hair for years and I like it light, but my hair stylist suggest I dont bleach or anything cause it will break and I would have to cut it real short. But you should consult with a professional in person so they can see what they are working against and go from there. They can better determine what to do in your situation.
