Platinum Blonde Hair and Breakage?

im recently making the big plunge from dyed black to platinum blonde and im at a peachy orange stage after pre lightening, is it normal for any hair that if you take asingle hair and pull it apart it snapps?

OMG I HAVE SO BEEN THERE. I have had every normal hair color in the book. red, dark red, brown, black, dark brown, light brown, reddish brown, golden, light blonde, strawberry blonde, everything and the one time I got my hair bleached out to see what it would look like it had been black prior to this.my roots turned white because my hair is naturally blonde and the tips were orange and it felt like cotton candy. it was sooo terrible. you HAVE to do it in stages. like literally have to. my hair right now is soo healthy because working back to my natural blonde from dark brown I gradually got highlights (more and more over time) so in about 4 months I was blonde :)

I’ve done tha same thing. when mine was bluee blackk,I used like 2 boxes of blonde all in 1 app. it lightened it up a lot. kinda like a orange/redish color. it took me a while to get it blonde and my hair doesnt really fall out or break but I guess im lucky lol but your best bet would b too go to tha salon but make sure they know your hair is very brittle. they might have to do a strip 1st.

Yeah I did that and it ruined my hair. I went from black to white and it damaged itso badly that it was hard to wash because it would fall out easily. Good luck! Soon after I went back to black because the white hurt it so badly.

If you’re going from black to blonde it needs to be done in steps, and seriously should be done by a professional. You can do the touchups after that yourself, but for the safety of your hair shell out the money for a salon.

Use a no brass or no red packet when you dye your hair next.
