Where's the best place in San Diego county to get my cartilage pierced?

I am going to get the cartilage on the top of my ear pierced, and I have heard not to get it done with a gun, but with a needle. I got my earlobes done at Clares, but they used a gun. So where in San Diego county are the best places to get it done? thanks:)

Answer #1

Any place that does body piercings.

Answer #2

Just look for a tattoo shop.

Answer #3

Firstly, most of your ear is cartilage, so you sound like a moron when you refer to a specific piercing as a “cartilage piercing”. It’s called a helix or pinna. And I wouldn’t know the exact names of the shops available for you to get it done at as I live in a different country but I suggest going to a place with a good reputation that looks sterile and professional. Also, don’t settle for any old place because it’s cheaper ‘cause those places tend to not have very good equipment or jewellery and the piercers aren’t garunteed to have much experience. A good place should charge anywhere from $20-$50. Good luck with your new piercing!

Answer #4

thanks! and If you re-read it i mentioned on the top of my ear not just anywhere…so ya no need to call me a moron:)

Answer #5

A lot of people refer it to a cartilage piercing..most know that your ear is cartilage but when you think of it you think at the top of your ear. If she posted a question saying ‘where can I get my helix or pinna pierced’ people will be like wtf. jus saying.

Answer #6

I didn’t.. I said it makes you sound like one, like you don’t know what you’re talking about. There are other piercings at the top of your ear too, not just that one. And you’re welcome! :)

Answer #7

TwiddleMuffin, yes I know a lot of people refer to it as a cartilage piercing but that’s not what it’s called, I was just telling her that. And if she had of posted the question asking that, people who actually know what certain piercings are called would have still answered the question.

Answer #8

Gabby - geez … a little uncalled for, don’t you think?

Answer #9

No, I don’t think so. I just hear and see a lot of people calling things not by their proper name and tend to tell people what I think. I wasn’t being mean or anything, I still answered the question and corrected her incase she didn’t know what she was actually talking about, as a lot of people who just go out and get piercings, don’t.

Answer #10

Thanks for the correction Gabby, I just took the moron thing as being a little mean..but now i know you didn’t mean it that way:) next time i’ll remember the correct name. but yes like twiddlemuffin said most of the time when people refer to a cartilage piercing they think of the top of the ear:) so that’s what i was referring to.
