Yes, they can…and your dog probably caught it from you…and you could get it back…Pink eye is so very contagious.

Good for you, for taking him to the vet!!

Wash your hands everytime you and the doggie play, or you pet or handle him…okie dokie?

well whats weird about it is it was really red and swollen then it was just really red so it was probably just something irritating it because its clear now and doesn’t bother him

Answer #5

AWWW POOR THING THAT IS VERY PAINFULL, I HAD IT ONCE AND I WANTED TO CRY I HAD IT FOR 3 WKS AND YEAH MY CAT GOT IT RIGHT AFTER I DID, I FELT SO BAD BUT YOU GOTTA TAKE HIM TO THE VET BECAUSE HE COULD GO BLIND, THEY HAVE SPECIAL DROPS FOR ANIMALS, DO IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.

Answer #6

Did you know you can use contact cleaner to clear up pink eye? Yep Broic Acid in the Contact cleanser is the same thing that the doc gives you to clean it up. The pink eye that is. Google it, home cures for pink eye. Works great and it clears it up fast. Put a few drops in when ever you think of it.

The first time you use it (just like the meds the doc gives you) it will burn like crazy for a few seconds but then will feel good.

Works on dogs too.

But I would really like to see a picture of it to be sure that is what is going on with your dog?

Neosporine works great too. I have used them together. first the drops and then the neosporine.

Answer #8

I am fairly sure that tehy can, and if so it would be very evident, such as a mucousy lining in the bottom of the eyelid.
