how do you start to mate 2 dogs? I have 2 min pins and I want them to mate but I dont want the female preg by and e other min pin! do I not let her out of the house?

No you don’t let her out of the house unless you have her on a leash, and you go, too…Dogs are VERY inventive when there is a female in heat…not mention you’d be putting your male at risk of getting his butt kicked by a wanna be suitor. Just because a minpin is small, doesn’t mean that a big dog won’t come courting…

You have to the wait until the female goes into heat, I would not breed her her first heat. There is 3 weeks to a heat cycle, she won’t except the male during all this time, there is a window where she will be interested and back up to him and allow him to mount her. other times she may bite or growl at him. Once they tie 63 days later you can expect puppies, make sure you have a vet lined up and money, it is not cheap to whelp a healthy litter of puppies and you will be busy and loose sleep. So read up on all the info you can/

If she is in heat and you don’t have a fenced in yard, and there are male dogs around then you need to leash walk her and be around her all times she is outside, Male dogs can smell a female in heat for miles and will come right over.
