Can pictures be set to "private" anymore?

I can’t seem to find that option any more. When the site changed to this format we were able to go into edit and set it to private so only people logged in could see it, is it still possible?

Answer #1

I don’t think it is cause I can’t find it either

Answer #2

The whole privacy feature has been pretty much removed.

Basically, it’s like this …

When you have an account anywhere online, be it FunAdvice, Facebook, Twitter, etc, it’s not impossible to get your info, even if you use the site’s privacy features. Once you have images online, they’re on Google … regardless of your privacy settings. It’s really nothing more than false security.

With the revamped FunAdvice, we’re aimed at bringing in new members, and history shows that new members are less likely to return if all the content is blocked to them. We’re trying to be an open and inviting resource for people.

In the end, if you don’t want people finding your info (and this goes for all social networking sites) don’t post it. Keep your photos off the internet, employ a username instead of using your real name, etc., because I’m telling you right now … nothing is private on web.

Given that, we are still concerned with the well being of our members, so feel free to contact us if there is a problem with another member.
