Going through a phone

Last night, my bestfriend/ ex girlfriend went through my phone as soon as I fell asleep and woke me up at 2 am to tell me she was leaving because I was texting a girl I’ve known way before her. I’m single and have been for almost 6 months. What does this mean? And how do I fix it?

This means she still has feelings for you and well, might still think you are in a relationship with her. You’re single, you’re allowed to talk to anyone you want to. She doesn’t have any right to go through what’s yours and then tell you she’s going to leave because of it. Honestly if she wants to leave, you should let her, if she doesn’t see that what she was doing was wrong then she’s doing the right thing all on her own by leaving.

There’s nothing for you to fix unless you want to have her around but honestly, if she doesn’t trust you and goes through your things then whatever you may have will just not work because she just will not trust you and will always want to know what you are doing. Relationships just don’t work unless there’s trust in them. If she doesn’t trust you, as evidenced by her looking through your phone and then leaving then really this is her issue and not so much yours because you are single and what she is now is your best friend not your girlfriend anymore.

Thanks, man. I really appreciate that and that’s exactly what the girl I was texting told me when I called her last night. It’s like you were there or something or maybe I just don’t understand love like everyone else. My best friend called me about 30 minutes ago apologizing and asking if we could talk. It’s really falling through and I don’t think I want to date for a while.

She’s too possessive. She has feelings for u but ur allowed to have friends that r girls. Go thru her phone I’m sure she’s talking to boys.
