Answer #3

i heard that it will hurt and damage your hair it could really kill it.. my hair is naturally straight but i stil straighten it and my hair is really fried from doing it to much but i never got it permanently done

Answer #4

Any chemical service is ‘bad’ for your hair. If your hair has been powder lightened/bleached too much you won’t be able to get it chemically straightened. If it has been colored, you may be able to. You should ask about getting a protein treatment or two first to strengthen your hair from the inside-out. Chemically straightening your hair will break the bonds in the hair shaft, and fix them together again in a new position (straighter), it won’t be guaranteed to get rid of frizz, and it won’t be guaranteed to make your hair totally smooth and shiny. How much color build-up do you have in your hair? Do you use straightening irons or curling irons on it? How often? How thick is your hair? Do you have split ends? How dry is your hair? What sort of shampoo do you use? If you answer these questions, I can tell you more.

Answer #5

Answer #6

oh and my hair is kind of thick

Answer #7

My friend permanently straightened her hair last year on her 18th birthday and it looked absolutely fabulous on the first 2 days. After taking a shower, most of her hair fell. She came to school the next day nearly half bald. Then her hair started to grow again but it wasn’t the same as before; it was rough and lost its natural shine. So no I don’t think you should get it permanently straightened.

Answer #8

Problem with that is when your hair grows out it looks really weird. My friend did that and when it grew out the roots of her hair were curly and the rest was straight. Not very attractive haha.

Answer #9

it can be bad and burn ur hair which can kill it so i wudnt do it so often

Answer #10

If you get it cut so that most of the split ends are gone, and get a protein treatment to make your hair stronger, you will probably be able to get it chemically straightened. The split ends will most likely split even further and snap off if you get a harsh chemical service like straightening. Getting them trimmed off will prevent that. Protein treatments will strengthen your hair from the inside out, and may get rid of some dryness. Best of luck :)

Answer #11

Yeah, it’s awkward looking. My friend’s new hair made her look as if she had spiky hair but the old hair was long. So, it looked as if she had spiky yet long hair at the same time.

it does damage your hair. but it is the same as colouring it. as long as you doing do it more than every six weeks, your hair should be fine.
