omg whene I started mine I was so scared because mom’s make such a big deal out of it I got to the point where I wished I was a boy my first one was just hectic I just said I’m going to get this over with so I just came out with it so I could get it over with.

Im mum of a 13yrold girl and she comes to me everynow and then and says mum when is it going to happen? Im lucky we have a good relationship with all the private things. I think you should tell her straight away or she will be devistated that she couldnt have helped you out earlier. She will be proud her little girl is grown up! xx

Just tell her that you started your period. She’ll give you advice from there on. Besides, why would it be a bad thing? She won’t get mad at you. It would be like getting mad at you for breathing!

Just come out with it. Be casual. She won’t be surprised. Maybe ask her to help you pick out some varieties of pads and tampons so you can try them out. if you have any more questions about it, let me know. :)

Ok, well I’ve had mine for about two months. Well, I get up at 7:00 every day for school, and my mom doesn’t leave for work until 7:30, and my stepdad leave right before 7:00. I plan on getting up and going into the bathroom, and then coming out and calling my mom to my bedroom, and be like “mom, my stomach hurts really bad..I-I-think…” then ill pull out my phone or a notebook and type/write it. Or I might just say “my stomach hurts really bad…” Im hoping she will say “like a cramp?” Then ill say “yeah, sort of…” And well just go from there! Wish me luck! And good luck on all you girls who are going through this stage!
(Think about it: Your mother MADE you. She gave birth to you, and if it wasn’t for her, you wouldn’t even be HAVING your period, because you wouldn’t exist! :O )
