Why do people get tattoos of phrases or words in latin but no one hardly talks it ?
Same reason people get tattoos in languages they dont speak. The world seem to flow better and be more pretty than i you did it in english. Its also a great coversation starter because you will bbe asked what it means all the time.
The same reason people get tattoos of tribal symbols they don’t know the meaning of. It’s supposed to be symbolic. The Latin letters act more like characters than “letters” since no one uses that language anymore. It’s something from the past that has been made into a cool trend of the present. Soon we’ll all be sporting inked hieroglyphics at this rate :)
