Why do people become popular when they bully people or are just mean?

It’s because for some reason these days people think it’s cool and since the other popular people do the same thing they get accepted into their group

Fear. When a person is cruel and bullies others, unfortunatly alot of people will treat them better, nicer, befriend them, suck up to them, etc, all so that they themselves stay out of the bullies path and don’t get treated the same way.

People are scared of them but if they are the bully’s friend, they won’t be picked on. Just my personal opinion, hope it helped!

Honestly I think the followers are just terrified that if they aren’t nice to the bully that they will also get bullied.

To make up for the rest of their messed up lives.

Just because they get attencion, they have people see them and that way people always know their name and they know he or she as the “tough guy” Also now, being mean, or “tough” is cool, people like it, they see that it’s a way of having control and of having a name for who you are.

Many people think that bullies are popular, sometimes this is true but most of the people are probably scared bystanders. Scared bystanders are people whO are usually friends with the bully because they want to fit in, they dont want to be the ones getting bullied. One situation that might happen is the bully tells somepne to dump there chocolate milk on a nerdy person who is secretly friends with the bystander. Most likely the bystander would do it and later on when no body was around apoligize. Another reason bullies might have alot of friends is becuz ppl might think that the bully is cool or being friends with them could bring there popularity up. Some day everyone will realize how mean the bully is and he/she will have no one there for them. Maybe they will then on realize how awful bullying is. SO TAKE A STAND! ~hope this helped 8-D
