Why do people say when you first get your period that's when your suddenly a woman?

True but how does bring able to get pergnate have to do with being a woman? I mean its not like that’s all we r good for….. I just don’t get it.

True, it’s just how society sees it, when you are old enough to bare a child I guess your considered a woman. There are many women out there who can’t have children and I dont see them any less of a woman then those who can.

I think its a step, not ok your bleeding, your officially a woman. But again with the ability to have kids. To me that’s not what makes you a woman. What makes you a woman is whatever you do that makes you feel like your a woman. Cuz I know I definitely do no under any circumstance feel like a woman. I feel like a teen lol.

That’s sooo old. When you said that I immediatly thought of the movie carrie and that one scene where the mother tells Carries she’s a woman now hahah. I think it’s just that you can get pregnant when you get it, because some girls start surprisingly early like 11 or 10 and i dont think anyone would call them a woman.

I honestly don’t know! I mean seriously it is so full of crap. Just ignore people that say it and being a women is a lot more then just getting ur “.” to be getting a “.” is just another way to say “why the heck is my life even worse”

Yeah I think it’s just because you’re finally old enough to get pregnant and reproduce. But I think a girl becomes more of a woman once she has sex in my opinion

It’s not just about pregnancy. Periods tend to indicate puberty. So around this time you get all the secondary sex characteristics. These tend to distinguish women from children.

because your body able to have kids… i think its kinda dumb though, its not like we can magically mature overnight hahaha
