Why are people so obssessed with becoming an advisor?

Lol. People like to feel special or something? It’s like being behind the scenes I guess?

Its the shiny badge, it lures people in lol.

People like to see their names in adivor list probably…(some) or they are helping the site so nicely that they feel they should be advisors.

I second that to a degree. Most of us just want to help who are already advisors. Those that want to be are the ones striving for the silly badge. It just indicates that you can somewhat trust us, our answers, our advice, etc :)

Some people know random things, so why shouldn’t they help others in other locations with them?

Wow, I think some people (like myself) have just been through a lot of stuff in our lives..if we can help/advise/protect or just be here to have someone avoid the pain & frustration of just 1 simple piece of advice, its a gift in disguise!

Sometimes its helpful to know that a complete stranger is willing to give us the time of day when we cant seem to find it from those that are closest to us. Just by listening without judging & criticizing someone else for what they may or may not know…perhaps be confused about or perhaps just providing some helpful advice may save another persons life without you even knowing what their intentions were in the first place!

Its not just about getting some sort of reward…because just being able to speak your mind is rewarding & free advice…something you can learn & benefit from free of charge!

You know what is ironic though, it is usually those that are not so obsessed that actually end up advisors.
