Why are people against national healthcare?

We have a provincial health care plan and it’s the best thing ever, if you ask me. Think about it - if i get sick or injured, I don’t have to think twice about going to the hospital or seeing a doctor - I’m covered by the province. Yes, we pay the taxes to cover it, but considering the peace of mind, it’s really such a small thing.

We were told that those of us who liked our insurance plans would be able to keep them…last week we find out that within a couple years, 51% of those who like their plans will have to go on the Government plan…I only pay $58.00 a month for hubby and myself, with a $200 deductable….we get into the Dr. immediately, we don’t wait in line, we don’t have to wait for heart surgery, or MRI’s, or to see a specialist.

Choosing between rip off insurance companies and inept government…hard for me to choose who’s hands to put my life into. But at least I know where I stand now.
