Why do some people answer questions when they actually do not know the answer?

I hate when people say ‘’I don’t know’’ or ‘’I agree with ‘so and so’ “ or ‘’Look it up’’ lol.. uh thanks?

Nope, that happened before we had points…and it’s been a recurring issue for years :)

I think some people actually do think they are answering the question, but really are not helping at all. I’ve noticed that we are starting to get more people on this site being social as opposed to answering questions with real thought. There is also an increase of young people on the internet, and so as a result, young people on FA. I’ve seen so many People Hu typEE lyK dizz and put their profile age as 50 when obviously they are 11 12 13. It’s annoying when you ask a question only to have it answered with no relevance to the subject whatsoever, but I’m thankful that at least 9 times out of 10 the person has actually tried to give an answer.

Well, in our last version…we had some filters on the display that would fix up how the text looked…they still type the same now, it’s just you notice it more, b/c we don’t yet have those display filters in place :) As for more young people online…well, that’ll always be the case, etc, as people get old enough to use the net.

More social answers…hm, I haven’t seen an increase, BUT, if we have one, please use the “flag” as we’ll soon be using that for more than just a reminder something needs to be done later on :)
