How do I make my pc run off of wi fi?

Answer #1

You would need a router that has wifi enabled and wifi capability. Then when trying to connect to the internet find the wifi source and enter your password if you have one set.

Answer #3

what are you trying to do?

Answer #4

I use a Net-gear router. The Netgear DGND3300 RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N DSL Gateway is a good one. Its wifi enabled and everything and you can get one online or maybe at some tech store for about £90.

Well I bout a computer and no one at the store told me anything. My bro hooked up my last one but he’s out of state now, so I’m basically lost at wat to do to make it work., its a windows 7 dell pc laptop

Answer #6

Answer #7

about 140 USD. It may seem like a lot, but this is a pretty good quality router. I live in a two story house and we have several things running on wifi and they all work perfectly.

Answer #8

Actually, i just checked on a USA site, They cost about 60 USD

Answer #9

Ok thx so much I appreciate it

Answer #10

well wi-fi is just wireless so if yuo want a wireless connection youd need a router with a wireless adaptor.

most routers come with them but most of the ones from isps dont. but if your isp supplied you with a router you be able to pick up a cheap as chips wireless adaptor for it.

you dont need wireless unless yuo have more that 2 puters in different rooms cus most ethernet wires can run about 50 metres which would be teh cheaper option.

if i was to do what your doing if phone my isp, get them to send me a free router and buy a separate wireless from the same company.

Answer #11

Well they didn’t give me one of those, so I need to get the 2 that come together?
