PC does not see iPod nano

I’ve got two girls… each has an iPod nano. They share the same library of ITunes songs. We use a Windows PC running XP Media Edition. The PC no longer recognizes one of the iPod nanos… device still works and charges fine on her remote player. PC still sees and syncs just fine with the other iPod nano. We are unable to see one of the iPods either thru iTunes or thru Windows Explorer… PC never reacts when device is plugged in. Any ideas?

Mine does that all the time and I just have to unplug it and plug it back it. It could be a fault with the cord that connects it to your computer though, so you can try to replace the cord and see where you get. Anything other than that and I honestly think it’s just dead, maybe it was dropped too many times or something.
