Party polotics does it lead to destruction

My view on polotical parties its sad to say but party polotics seems to be a movement for domination and coercing the other side. I dont like polotical parties because it just seems to me a one side conquest of domination. I think of all the dictators and I think wow what caused these horrible genocides or atrocity its party polotics one side dominating another side killing the opposition. I like anarchism because its supports the idea of groups doing there beliefs but without coericion and for all to have their beliefs practice without government using its power to coerce the other side to except their views

The questions

Do you think party polotics leads to oppression?

Do you think party polotics creates harmony?

Why do we divide ourselves along partylines and not just vote for the one that represents our views?

I couldnt agree more with you. I think its stupid.

However, at the same time parties are a necessary evil in politics, or there will be no competition for power, which is essential to democracy. Thats why you see so many people talking about bipartisanship, about not dividing along party lines

Answer #2

“Why do we divide ourselves along partylines and not just vote for the one that represents our views?”

That’s what parties are all about. Giving us a chance to select the candidate that represents the most of our views. If I want to select a candidate who is pro life and pro states rights, I know to look for a Republican. If I want to select a candidate who is more for the redistribution of wealth and the providing of individual benefits sponsored by the government, then I know to look for a Democrat.

Granted, a particular candidate may not agree with ALL of his party’s beliefs but he will agree with most of them, so having a party to choose from provides more value for our vote.

    I hope you do not take offense,
    To that that's gone before;
    'Tis only that it's my two-cents,
    And not one penny more. §;o)
