Part-time careers

Say if I graduate from high school and college, I would want to go on vacations and do other things. A lot of people I know, work longs hard hours until they’re so stressed out(like my mom)she works 80 hours a week and I hardly see her. If I stay in school, I want a part-time career, good paying, and has benefits especially medical. Is there any part-time careers that you can work but have time for family, and not make a second home there?

You make such a good point about how crazy the world is. I wish everyone thought this way. We go to work to earn big bucks to buy big cars and have big houses full of expensive furniture and new appliances. And then when we have kids we think we need even bigger houses and more stuff.

I do believe it’s possible to do what you’re suggesting. My advice would be to choose a career where you can do a lot of freelancing or work for yourself. What about a Physician Assistant? Get a BA then do 4 years of college at a good PA school. Part time you could probably make 40 to 50K a year in today’s dollars.
