What advice can I give to him?

A very close friend who I speak to via the internet has recently told me about the abuse he is subjected to. His dad was jailed for murder, and his mother just physically harmed him and smashed his computer. I fear for his life and well being because he is severly depressed. What advice can I give to him?

He is almost 17 years old, and lives in New Zeland if this helps.

you can do something. you on your own could contact CPS and from there give them the evidence and they will contact the CPS in his country, he needs help because that is never something that somebody has to ggo trough, believe is not a happy way to live and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it but in his case there is, help him out, dont make him go trough a chielhood that he would not like to remember.

LOL…good old new zealand…well..okay so his dad jailed…his safe…

his mum abusive…well she might be an alcoholic too…I think at 17 he can handle himself…I mean im a tiny girl and I’ve put up with domestic abuse and made it out in one piece…I think he can handle his mum…if he can’t then you should tell him to contact the police…obviously…

He needs to contact child welfare in his area - there’s really nothing else you can do for him.
