Parakeets

What does it mean when a male parakeet bobs his head up and down in front of a female? or when he chirps to her a lot? Does it mean he wants to mate or it’s apart of mating?

Answer #1

Chirping at her a lot would seem to suggest that he is trying to ‘woo’ her somewhat . Its part of the mating ritual, if he starts to tap her with his bill, or his feathers on his head, and well the rest of him are slightly fluffier or puffed up the chances are he wants to mate with her, and is trying to get her attention in hopes of mating. Hope this has helped you x

Answer #2

he is probably courting her. = ]
