Do you think it's possible for me to get six-pack abs by December (read more)?

So I have a “two pack”(I guess) but I want a six pack by December, personal reasons. Anyway Monday,Wednesday, nd Friday I do the p90x ab routine along with reverse crunches, heel touches, and leg raises. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I do the athlean-x ab routine(changes each week, this is my first week) along with two extra ab exercises recommended by my college’s strength/conditioning coach and the ab work the baseball coach has us do during practices. I’m basically only drinking water at this point, with the occasional soda if I’m REALLY craving it. Also I’m on a high fiber, high protein diet. I know I’m not going to get “professional opinions” on this site but I just to see if people think it’s possible. P.S. When I’m laying down you can see four of the muscles(well four parts of the ab a “four pack”) so there is basically just a layer of fat blocking that part of the abs.

Yea… But you have to be determined and commited to actually do it….. Do sit ups, crunches, and run everyday and you will START, to see and FEEL results by the end of this month

Answer #2

It honestly depends on your genes in most cases. I have a pretty lame six pack because u can only see it in certain lighting because of how faint it is, but it only took a few days of exercise to get it. sometimes i eat fattening foods and it goes away after a while but i can get it back if i put froth the effort. I know some people who have been exercising for years and dont have a six pack, yet i also know people such as myself who put small amounts of effort in to it. if your younger, then it might prove to be easier. Try to make your exercises consistent and build your muscles on your entire body instead of trying to focus only on your abs. Best of luck!

Answer #3

Here are the two main factors that play in seeing your abs: 1)Genetics. 2)Diet

Doing ab exercises won’t do anything other than strengthen your abdominal section, that’s it. In order for them to become visible, your bodyfat has to be in the 4-13% range, and even then it’s dependent on where you hold majority of your bodyfat on your frame. Is it possible to get defined abs by December? Yes. Will you get a 6-pack? Genetics can determine that.

Answer #4

Right. For me, all i did was run. I have a terrible diet and i dont lift weights. For me, i cant get out of shape.

Answer #5

Yes I think it is possible, and it is good that you are so determined. If you keep up the hard work Im sure it will pay off :)

Answer #6

It sounds like you are doing a lot of exercise. Remember to also eat healthily as well as exercising. To get rid of that extra bit of fat you’ll need to run/swim as you generally don’t burn as much fat when doing toning exercises. Just make sure you have protein shakes etc. My boyfriend goes through protein like there’s no tomorrow lol! He’s very.. well built ;)
