aww, that's terrible, burnt tongues really hurt, I hope you feel better. But yes, try cool water, and dont eat sugar-coated or sour candy. The sugar can get inside the tongue and it will make it worse. Such as, dont eat those sour skittles, cause that will turn out painful.
u people are all giving different answers. some say dont do anything others say dont have suger someone else says soak it in suger. make up your minds. all I do is I drink cold water and just leave it be otherwise. it heals quickly
Look for an over-the-counter medication called Orajel. Orajel is a topical anesthetic, so it will reduce the pain. And it sticks to wet tissue, so it serves as a protective coating for any lesions in the mouth.
All you can do is keep it cool to help alleviate some of the pain.
Drink cool water, but avoid ice as it could actually cause frost bite to the damaged tissue and make it worse.

don't use anything on it. tissue in the mouth heals very quickly. it should be better in 4 days.
