What's your opininion on having a lot of clothes and shoes?

It’s stupid in my opinion. Half the clothes you’ll never wear until it’s too late and you don’t fit them anymore. Also, a waste of money on a closet full of clothes.

I only have 1/4 of my closet full of clothes. I have a few formal wear, some solid color shirts for training in, and a few long and short sleeved shirts for casual wear for public. Likewise, I only have 3 pairs of shoes: formal wear, casual shoes, and gym shoes.

I don’t understand why it’s important to have so many apparel, but maybe it’s one of those American-culture things. Because in my country during and several years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, things like clothes weren’t as widely available so families bought what they would wear, not what they thought looked good for one “occasion”.

not nessessary and in my openion that considered selfesh coz alot of people outthere cant find even one piece of clothes so it would be great to keep your new clothes and donate the others rather than stuffing

it the best thing ever , i love having lots of clothes,shoes, jewellery etc. so i don’t have to wear the same thing twice. if i don’t go shopping for a while it stress me out… i love it….

well, you can always donate the clothes that dont fit or that are out of style. thats what i always do

It really doesn’t matter to me… I find no use for a lot of clothing since at work, we have a uniform and by the time I get home, I just wanna be in comfy clothes. I do have a lot of ONE kind of clothing, and I am finding that I am not wearing them often. It’s a good idea to donate the ones that don’t fit or are not wanted… no need to keep them around for the sake of having them.

As long as you wear them, and have the space for them I’m okay with it. I just hate it when people buy so many things and don’t ever use them!

haha me too!!! im small nd my friends are always giving me their clothes that dont fit anymore!! but its not stupid it just means you have a bigger varity of clothes which is ALWAYS good its alot better than only having like 10 pairs of shirts and jeans or something(:

I’d love to have heaps of clothes! I have no problem with it if you actually wear all of them. And you can always donate them when you grow out of them.

When it comes to scrubs for work I have every color and design you can think of from my favorite sports teams to hello kitty and everything in between. I also have a lot of Jordans and Crocs to go with my scrubs, so I would say I am all for having lots of clothes. My little brothers on the other hand get 7 pairs of pants and several really nice shirts and spend all the rest of their mall money on Jordans and fitted hats so they would be half and half on the closet.

I don’t find a problem with it, seeing as I have many many clothes, but theres good things you can do with them too. Doesn;t mean they have to go to waste. They can be passed down to other sisters, cousins or friends. You can give them to goodwill for the poor. You could also take them to Plato’s closet and get some of your money back from them.
