What do you think of one night stands?

because this weird thing happened today (I live in a conservative society, so this is pretty rare). My friend went out and started chatting with this girl. Then before he knew it the girl was trying to seduce him etc. Friend got pissed and went off

As I always say it depends on circumstances and the person. If you go round doing it all the time and have no self respect then yes its trashy and tastless. Although theres a large percentage of people that will have done it atleast once in ther lives and I dont think theres anything wrong with that. But if you repeatedly do it then yes its slutty. But at the same time you have to think about mentall stability, lots of women actually do it because the believe theyre worth no better and thats all they deserve. Its complicated ! But generally its not that bad

Anyone worried about sexual diseases? Protection doesnt always guard against that

Trashy and tasteless

There is nothing wrong with them if both participating people know what they want and that no deceit is involved. If people get hurt as a result of a one-night stand (eg. because somebody says they care about the other person when they do not), then of course it would be bad.

Sex is something that the majority of people want and I see nothing wrong with people having casual sex when they are not ready to commit themselves to emotional attachment. So long as protection is used and both (or more; whatever floats your boat :P) people know what they getting themselves into, then I see nothing wrong with them.

I think you’ll find that the same risk applies to ‘any’ sexual encounter. One-night stands in that respect are no different to sexual experiences with someone you love. Condoms do offer great assurance though, so I’m not concerned in that regard as such.

As long as it is clear that it is a one night stand it should be cool but I don’t think there useful.
