Pantheism It’s not an organized religion, but a religion none the less. It’s the oldies religion & the root of all ocult practices. It goes back to cavemen. If you don’t believe me, do some heavy hardcore research. Any religous scholar with a PHD will tell you the same thing. lol

The Vedas pre-dates the Jewish Torah by 100 years… Brahman Hinduism wins…

Answer #5

Judaism is the oldest. Hinduism is not a religion. It is a collection of many small belief systems practiced in various parts of India. Indian was not one country about 400 years back as it is now. It was a large collection of small kingdoms who practiced their own religion. One people among them called the Brahmans followed the Vedas. These kingdoms united to form one country during the time of the Britishers. It was the Britishers who coined the word Hinduism to refer to all the religions of India collectively.

Answer #10

Hinduism is not a religion like Buddhism, Jainism, Judaism etc. The word “Hinduism” comes from the word “Hindustan”. Around 3000 years ago the Persians came to north part of what is now India and settled around the Sindu river. The India of now was at that time mostly non populated except for some very small tribal population. As a result of the Persian settlement around the river Sindu the Indus Valley civilization came into being But what is not well known that the Persians because of their language could not pronounce the sound “S”. So instead of Sindu river they called Hindu River.

Note: At that time the Persians had a religion and the tribal had their own religions. The tribals worshiped the forces of nature. Very little is know about these Persians but is said that they coud have been Jews.

Years later the moguls invaded India. Since they had the habit adding the word “sthan” to their places they called this place “Hindusthan” Then came the Britishers. By this India had many religions like tribal ones, the Persian ones and also Islam. The Britishers referred to all the religions followed in Hindustan as “Hinduism”. So the word Hinduism does not refer to any one religion.
