Ok well my mom is irresponsible,she doesn't do whats she should and it's driving me crazy I feel like I am the mother and shes the child I ask he to call some one for appointments she doesn't do it she says oh I will do it later but never does cause she gets so caught up in doing other thing's that are even important like going down the street to her friends house and watching her grand kids she doesn't have to do that and a phone call takes a second so it's not like she couldn't do it or she will get a phone call I tell her to call once she gets in the house she doesn't do it and then she can't get a hold of them for days or like right now she went out of town for a x-mas party I told her not to go cause there where snow storms going on and stuff but she goes any ways and she doesn't have a car so she has to wait for her friend to take her back well her friends car messed up now she hasn't been home for like 4 days and I am stuck with the calls from the schools and stuff and the day she was supposed to come back she never even called me to tell me she wasn't coming I had to try and get a hold of her and when I did she say's shes sorry ok I understand she got stuck but hello common sense to let he kid know she wont be coming you know so like yea I don't know what to do shes driving me and I am getting to the point where I can't take it I need a mother not a child
Oh girl do I feel the same way. My mom is very similar to that. I have always had to do the motherly things around the house.From parenting my younger sibling,to parenting myself. I don't know what it is about parents these days. My mom acts like she is still in high school. She gose out to bars every weekend all weekend and sometimes she don't even come home till the very next morning. Therfore Im stuck watching my brother,making sure he gets his bath and homework done,and cooking dinner. My mom says that she acts like a teen cause she never got to be one. She had her first kid at like 16,so she never got to go out and do things. So now I have to sacrifice. :( It's not so much like that anymore. I mean she still gose out and all but my brother is now 14 and knows how to take car of himeself now. But I understand your pain. It feels like we were the ones who have to suffer.

Wow it does seem to be a difficult situation. This may or may not help but I was in a similar situation. My mother was so incapable of basic responsibilities that I ended up going to live with my older sister at the age of 8. I don't know how this easy this would be but maybe try talking with her about how you feel and maybe she could do something about it. Maybe she doesn't realise that you're still the child in her life and she is the mother and needs to undergo some more responsibilities. If this is too difficult or you think she may get angry then try talking to a relative who you can trust about the situation. I hope it gets sorted out lovely. You don't deserve the stress.
No not at all but that wont work I have tried telling her I explain to her all the time that what she does is all wrong but she just doesn't seem to want to listen I tell her mom you need to do this it's important and it would be better if you did it now then later she does later or never she just doesn't listen I think it's the hole I am the kid she is the parent she don't like the fact I am right and shes wrong and she hates that I try to parent my lil sister but my sister need's structure and my mom doesn't give that to use
I know you guys are right my mom is similar like both of yours but my mom only hangs out with friends goes to the bar and I have to cook for my brother sister baby sister and my baby brother that is kind of hard and if my mom does not like the food I made or there is no more food left she throws a fit and she leaves to go buy something and never come back
Yeah you're right it is wrong but sometimes I guess they get caught up in what's going on in their lives that they forget about us and how we are dealing with it all. And no we didi'nt ask to be born again you'r right. I myself don't beleieve in abortion,but I don't know I'm only tring to help. :)
that's wrong we shouldn't have to do that it was there ideas to have us they didn't have to my mom off course is against abortion as well am I but adoption is all ways a option my life was ok my mom seems to parent me well till my sister was born then every thing went belly up
Oh I know I am lol my mother hates that I am more a mother then her that's why I will be a perfect mother and every one in my fam is going to be shocked
well if you ask me we are there lives and until we turn 18 or they die they are fully responsible for us and we should be there # 1 priority
