Why is everyone so obsessed with getting points?

The obsession with points has to deal with feeling “up there”.The more points you have, the higher chance of appraisal. Or at least that’s my theory! Or I could be completely wrong, as usual… :)

I don’t quite see the big deal, I’ll just stick to using the chat features on here.

People correction some people are getting crazed over points because the more points you have the more cash you can have once the points for cash thing is up and running so everyone is trying to get their answers liked and answer all these questions and update their status like every 3mins thats why

Maybe it boosts their ego… people are going nuts with it lol

Those that do, will be punished…and then the points they earned are forfeit :)

So, it really is Pointless, to abuse it, ha ha ha.

I’m NOT! But I’m obsessed with the fact that I’m learning many things here on FA, I get to meet amazing people and at the same time I get to share my opinion. Whether or not I get points from it, I don’t really care. I’m happy here and that’s all that really matters! (^^,)

I think it’s peoples competitive streaks coming out. It remindes me of being in elementary school trying to get the most stars cause then your like top dog basically haha. I personally dont really care about them actually.
