Answer #2

Answer #3

Well that is what it looks like all the American presidents do as of lately. I really wish we would focus on us and our boarders, right now we have a high death and crime rate right here on the US Mexico boarder.

Answer #4

I agree

Answer #5

Well I have heard news on issues with North Korea.

Answer #6

Yeah me to and the last thing we need is another war

Answer #7

depends on if we win the war, then approval goes up. if we lose or it drags on, it goes down

Answer #8

theres 99% always a reason for war, it cant just be started for no reason or to boost an approval.

god help the usa if he does do something like that cus the rest of the world would not sit back and let it happen just so he can boost his approval.

ive stooded our wars and we, the uk would not side with the usa if he couldnt come up with why hes gone to war and im sure a lot of other countries would be the same.

you would lose your independence, the lot… hes got more to lose than to gain so it wont happen, unless hes drunk 1 night and desides hes had enough of the french legging it.

Answer #9

I don’t think President Obama starting a war would boost his approval and I don’t think he would start one even if he thought he would. Going into office he said he’d rather be a good one term president than a poor two term one.

The thing that would most help his approval is if he grew a backbone and stood up to Republicans. So far Republicans have been able to control the debate on every issue in spite of Democrats holding the White House, House, and Senate.

Answer #10

I’d just like to point out that Presidents have a history of saying things and then completely dropping them later, or at least Obama does, I’d call it simply rhetoric. I agree with the backbone part though, apparently as far as I’m aware Republicans seem to be growing in control considering the approval rating for Democrats is sinking. Or so I’ve been informed, you’re welcome to correct me :)

Answer #11

yes

Answer #12

That’s all the past Presidents have wanted to do. I just hope Obama is better than that.

Answer #13

He’s not a republican, so no…

Answer #14

From what I have read online, it looks like the democratic party is a sinking ship, and as far as I have seen Obama has cost me more each year, he has made my taxes higher, my health care worse, and has been after my veteran benefits. I have never been a fan of the democratic party, but if does not seem to matter cause either party you vote in never does what they pledge as Miguel said.

Answer #15

If starting America’s third war in 10 years boosts Obama’s approval rating, then something is seriously wrong with the American public.

Answer #16

I dunno’ my taxes haven’t gone up. My 401k and IRAs are worth more than when he got into office. The economy is still on the skids but you won’t change 30 years of fiscal mismanagement overnight. My health insurance is still expensive but at least some of the worst of the health insurance party’s shenanigans are being outlawed.

I think it is the Republican party that is on the way out; in fact this may be their last hurrah. America is getting more diverse. The Republican party is still mainly the party of white, Christian, Southern and Mid-western men. President Obama lost the white vote but still won the election. There is probably already more Muslims in American than Jews and in a few decades Caucasians will no longer be the majority but rather the largest minority.

It seems like it is the Republicans that have never done anything for me. Since Reagan (who I voted for) got into office wages for everyone except the top few percent has been stagnant or declining. Deregulating S&Ls, banking, mortgages, and airlines have lead to repeated government bailouts. Before Reagan took office most households only had one breadwinner but now most families need both parents to work to get by. Last time I checked government statistics since I was born wages have increased 4x but the cost of living has increased 6x. We are basically working for a third less than we used to. To maintain our standard of living most people use credit so large numbers of Americans have effectively no savings; their debts about cancel out their assets.

The Republicans have sold America a false bill of goods. The promised that a rising tide lifts all ships and that money trickles down. Both didn’t work out so well for most Americans.

Answer #17

Well you are right, but I also think if you looked at this from a small business owners view, it would look a little different.
