can anyone tell me the number of people under the age of 20 that die from belly button piercings each year??

lol; i wanted to know that. im 13, i had a really bad infection, i allmost had blood poisning from it so i had to take medication. its not very commen im preety sure, but yea just like any peircing or infection can get blood poisning or other infections .. just look after it, and if it starts to get worse then get some antibiotics from your doctor (:

I don’t think there’s an actual figure stated anywhere, as the number is so significantly low.

neither did i…lol. ive had mine pierced twice. it got infected the first time but i just took it out and it was fine. now i have it and its perfectly fine.

Slim to none. It RARELY happens.

Like Colleen said, i doubt there’s an actual number as it’s so rare. If you’re asking because you’re worried about getting one then don’t worry about that. Just make sure you choose a credited piercer that doesn’t have ridiculously low prices - it’ll bite you back later when it gets infected, you find out it’s wonky and you have to take it out, pay for antibiotics and maybe get it repierced. It’s not so scary once you do some research into it :)
