Not to Hate on Rap

A question I answered 3 days ago I think it was jazlovestoskate brought up a good point about Rap these days that all rappers talk about in some of their songs is violence,sex,and money,I do agree with it cause that’s one of the main reason I stopped listening to it. Give me your opinion on it,don’t get carried away.

I hate some rap songs like erm.. mims - walk it out cause it just says ‘Walk it out’ like a bunch of times & then it’s like, “I’m hot cause im fly, you aint cause you’re not. this is why, this is why, this is why im hot” and I was like whaaa?

But ones like Sing for the moment - Eminem are good because people can relate to them :) x

Well disagree how are they selling them selves for money? and while I can agree that lil wayne has harsh lyrics…people still buy his abums…

rap is good people just say bad things about it because black people do it. thats what I think! but isnt that whats life about violence,sex and money???

yep, I think majority of it is just about gangs, sex, money, voilence, drugs, fast cars, guns, and there usually being sexist and voilent/abusive to women as well calling them “hoes/b*tches” and other names

Well thats mostly because they want to relate to there main audience…and they rap about what they have been through…but not all rappers talk about stuff like that like T.I. …

BUT NOT ALL RAP!!! AND ITS JUST WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO LISTEN TO SOOO IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THATS FINE JUST DONT LISTEN…BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO DO LISTEN THEY LISTEN BECAUSE IT RELATES TO THERE LIFE STYLE NO MATTER IF THATS HOW THEY CHOOSE TO LIVE OR NOT…SOOO just IF YOU DONT LIKE RAP AND ITS SOOO VIOLENT THEN JUST DONT LISTEN THATS NOT VERY HARD TO DO

Ok well im sorry to tell you but im not most people and the music I buy I buy it no matter what people think and yes the day The Carter III came out I was the first in line to buy it but not because it was the trend because I love lil wayne and the day iSouljaBoy came out I was the first peson to have the CD not because my friends did because I like SouljaBoys music…so just because some people may be stupid enough to listen to music they dont like because they think its cool doest mean all people beacuse im pround to say that I love Hip Hop music and some people may call me “Ghetto” im not affraid to say when miley Cyrus has I good song out that I listen to it
