Not out cheating!

I invited a friend to go bar hoping tomorrow night after work. I just found out that she’s going to lie to her long-time b/f that she’s just working late. I don’t want to cause their relationship any trouble. We’re going to be out pretty late so I know he’s going to know she wasn’t just working late. How should I tell her to not go in a polite way? Any suggestions?

I think you should just advise her to be honest with her boyfriend. Tell her you don’t feel comfortable hanging out with her after work if she has to lie to her boyfriend to do it.

There’s no reason that she should be lying, unless they’re already having some other plans that she didn’t want to go to, or that he didn’t want her to go out drinking. You really just have to talk to her about it.

Honestly I think you need to not be babysitting their relationship… It really isnt any of your business… However, you might want to ask her what he’s going to think if you’re out really late… Or suggest it might not be the best of ideas I still dont think this is on your shoulder… it’s her boyfriend and her life, you’re not her mother and even if you were I’d still probably say butt out
